As we stand on the brink of a new year, it is my privilege and pleasure to extend warm greetings to each and every one of you on behalf of the Eastern District North Carolina Public Health Association. Commencing a new year signifies not just the passage of time but represents new beginnings, renewed commitments, and limitless opportunities.
Reflecting on the challenges and triumphs of the past year, I am deeply grateful for the unwavering dedication and resilience demonstrated by our members and supporters. The global health landscape has presented unprecedented challenges. Still, our collective efforts have sustained and propelled forward our mission to promote public health and well-being. Our commitment to evidence-based practices, advocacy, and community engagement remains unwavering and remains the bedrock of our endeavors.
In the spirit of the new year, let us reaffirm our shared vision for a healthier, more resilient world. Through collaboration, innovation, and an unwavering pursuit of knowledge, we can effect positive change and make lasting im- pacts on the well-being of individuals and populations.
I am delighted to invite you to join us at our annual conference on April 24- 26, 2024, at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Atlantic Beach, NC. This year’s theme, “EDNCPHA: Recruit, Develop, and Retain A Strong Public Health Team,” emphasizes the importance of building a robust public health work- force. Your contributions and expertise are valuable, and together, we can contribute to the growth of our public health community.
